The Department of CLAS provides intervention to meet the communication needs of the children through individual, group and classroom based sessions in the areas of semantics, syntax, pragmatics and speech.
The Following are the primary functions of the Department:
- Structured speech assessment and intervention is carried out for children with articulation and fluency difficulties.
- Various language facilitating and stimulating techniques are used to work on selected targets with
- the aid of toys, real objects, pictures, computer aided programmes and real situations.
- Assessment and training is done in the area of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for children with complex communication needs
