Sustainability & Community Relations Department

Al Noor Training Centre as a non-profit organization has no source of official or regular funding. The students’’ annual fees at the Centre are subsidized at 40%. In order to continue to provide high quality professional services to the special needs community in Dubai, fundraising becomes an enormous task for the Centre.

This year, Al Noor has an expected budget of AED 18 million approximately. Only approximately AED 9.8 Million are expected from the student fees if all students pay the subsidized amount of AED 35,000 per year. Approximately 22 percent of the families did not pay the already subsidized amount last year. We will need to raise almost AED 7 Million to cover the running cost of the Centre this academic year. Various fundraising activities and events are organized to garner support in raising the much needed funds.
Fundraising activities and events include:

  • Al Noor Annual Fun Fair, Annual Gala Dinner, Ladies Luncheon, Al Noor Indoor Sports Auditorium (ANISA) , sales of Al Noor greeting cards and desk calendars, raffles, Credit Card Campaign and sales at Al Noor’s retail outlet ‘Smiles n Stuff’
  • Donations, either financial or gifts in-kind, from individual and corporate supporters
  • Fundraising activities and events run by supportive organizations, schools and companies, with Al Noor Training Centre as the beneficiary
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events/activities

Our facilities such as the Multipurpose Hall, Al Fajer Conference Hall and Multi-function Rooms among others are available for renting for various events. All proceeds support the Centre’s operation and activities.

In spite of the intense fundraising efforts, we were only able to cover approximately AED 4,200,000 last year and AED 2,800,000 was still needed to be raised.

In addition to raising funds, these events also aim at creating awareness in the community about the Centre’s program as well as the larger cause of disability.
