At Al Noor, we are running a holistic programme addressing all domains of development through a Transdisciplinary assessment and intervention approach. The training aims to maximize each child’s potential with a view to integration into the mainstream society.
The programme is individualized, goal-oriented and mostly developmentally sequenced.
The Trans-disciplinary assessment team comprises of a Special Educator, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker and the Parents.
This team conducts an assessment based on the Al Noor Curriculum to determine the child’s level of functioning.
A goal selection protocol is followed to select relevant goals and an annual Individual Education Plan (IEP) for each child is generated.
To implement the goals, a Trans-disciplinary intervention team plans and executes activities and imparts specific skills training.
Regular case review meetings are held to monitor child’s progress and incorporate intervention enhancements.
A comprehensive annual report containing details of the child’s progress is handed over to the parents at the end of the academic year.
