ORGANIZE YOUR OWN EVENT
If you are inspired to organise an event in support of Al Noor, please let us know. Such events not only help us to raise much-needed funds but they increase awareness of Al Noor and the work we do for the determined ones.
If you do have any ideas, which you would like to put into practice, please get in touch. Dubai has strict regulations with regard to the collection of funds for charity so it’s important you follow the correct protocol.
We would ask you to send a proposal, giving details of the event or campaign you would like to host, to Al Noor at least 8 weeks prior to the scheduled date. We would go through the proposal, discuss it with you and then the next step would be to obtain approval from the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).
They require us to submit the following documentation: A fully completed IACAD application form, signed by the event organiser and by the designated Al Noor event coordinator; the passport copy and UAE ID Card of the event organiser; a copy of the organiser’s trade licence; a detailed proposal of the event or campaign; details of any marketing material to promote the event (invitations, leaflets etc.).
The IACAD stipulates that the total amount of funds you raise for Al Noor should be reported within the 10 days following the event. For the purposes of reporting money raised on our behalf, we are required to work with the Al Maktoum Foundation and so we would ask you to advise them of the amount you raise. The total amount of the funds you raise for Al Noor will come to us and we will appreciate every dirham.
