SPAN was founded by a group of Al Noor parents, who are also members of our staff, to form a platform for liaison between the school and its parent body. SPAN provides a forum for discussion of areas of common interest and the sharing of information, through workshops and lectures. Information sharing at the forum leads to increase parental awareness of the latest technical and educational advances in the field of disabilities. It also promotes awareness about facilities available to the disabled. Parents and staff support each other in sharing resources and organising respite services.
SPAN encourages parents to interact with each other and creates a space for families with children with disabilities to socialise and advocate change for their benefit. SPAN encourages volunteering at the centre and supports our fundraising efforts.
