PARENT AND CHILD TRAINING PROGRAMME- PACT

PACT is a unique, intensive 10-month parental empowerment programme. Specially designed in-house, it is mandatory training programme for those parents seeking admission for a child under the age of 14 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Regular and consistent training is provided to the parent to increase their knowledge of their child’s condition and to equip them with strategies to manage and train their child effectively. Upon completion of PACT training, the student moves into the Centre’s regular classroom environment. A parent or caregiver is expected to accompany the child to the daily training sessions for the entire duration of the programme.

PACT helps:

  • Equip parents with skills to train their children through hands-on training
  • Effect gains in communication, socially significant behaviors, adaptive skills, and generalization of learnt skills, through increased duration and intensity of training (approximately 300 hours of intervention)
  • Enhanced parent-child interaction
  • Reduced parental stress
  • Increased opportunities for leisure and recreational activities.

PACT program helps parents to :

  • Become fluent in principles of ABA
  • Understand and analyze their child’s behavior
  • Make informed decisions in their child’s program
  • Develop and implement the intervention plan following best-practices
